Using 12VPX with China
12VPX works both in and around China - just differently depending on your needs:
- Inside China? Yes, 12VPX gives you full access to the open internet. Connect to any of our global servers and browse freely.
- Outside China? Want to watch Chinese services like Youku? We support that too. Enable it on our site, and we’ll route only the needed traffic through our hidden China infrastructure.
Note: You can’t select a China server directly or browse the internet as if you're in China. This keeps our Chinese infrastructure stable and unblocked.
Accessing 12VPX.com
Our regular website at 12vpx.com is blocked in China. Please check the dashboard for alternative links that work in China. These may change occasionally.
Internet Connection
Moving to China? Before choosing an Internet provider, consider this:
- Stick to major providers: Use only China Telecom, China Mobile, or China Unicom. Smaller providers often have poor overseas bandwidth.
- Disable "Overseas Accelerator" (海外加速) with VPN: If you have China Telecom's service, turn it OFF via the 小翼管家 app when using VPN. Leaving it on will severely slow down VPN.
- Vary providers from neighbors: Due to shared bandwidth, choosing a provider different from most of your neighbors can improve speeds, especially during evenings and weekends.
SIM cards
Chinese 4G/5G SIM cards offer free domestic roaming, but your data traffic always routes back to the purchase location before hitting the internet.
For optimal performance, buy your SIM where you live to ensure the most direct internet access. If you're traveling within China, a Shanghai SIM card is a great choice for its fast overseas connections.
Be cautious buying SIM cards online; some "deals" might be tied to remote areas with poor international connectivity.
